Annual Review 2023: Creating impact together
Wednesday 17 July 2024 – 9:30am to 11:45am
About this event
2023 marked 75 years of our long-term investment and partnership, which has helped countries build more sustainable and more secure futures for their people. As the UK’s development finance institution, we support the growth of sustainable economies that work for both people and planet. Through our investment we aim to create greater security for people, more jobs and opportunities, tax revenues for governments, and to combat the causes and effects of the climate emergency.
But we can’t achieve this impact alone. We work in partnership with many others: our investment partners, entrepreneurs, and the countries where we invest.
At this event – which marked the publication of British International Investment’s (BII) 2023 Annual Review, our Chair, Diana Layfield and Chief Executive, Nick O’Donohoe, reflected on the previous year’s milestones, successes and challenges. They were joined by some of those partners, including business leaders from Africa and Asia, who have all played a pivotal role in BII’s achievements over 2023.
