Nicky Crawford

Nicky Crawford, joined British International Investment as Director and Head of our Environmental, Social and Governance-Impact (ESG I) team in March 2022. Based in London, she will ensure the role and impact of the ESG I team and our new Policy on Responsible Investing is well understood and working effectively across our portfolio.

Previously, Nicky worked for PwC where she was a Director in their Sustainability and Climate Change team focusing on ESG in Private Equity and Venture Capital. Prior to that she spent 18 years at ERM, the last 6 years as a Partner leading the firm’s work in the power sector in Africa, and also as the London Office Head. Nicky is a member of the Gibraltar Climate Change Committee and previously sat on the Responsible Investment Advisory Group of The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), and Responsible Investment Roundtable of Invest Europe.

Nicky holds a BSc in Chemical Process Engineering from University of Sheffield and an MSc in Integrated Pollution Control from Middlesex University.
