Maximilian Biswanger

Maximilian is an Investment Director at BII’s Financial Services Group and heads the group’s growth equity investments in fintechs across Africa and South Asia.

He joined British International Investment in 2014 and has a successful track record in private equity investments in financial services companies in emerging markets. He has held various governance roles, including board and committee positions. Prior to joining BII, he worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at Rothschild & Co.

Maximilian holds a MLitt in International Relations / Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of St Andrews, a PGDip in Philosophy from Birkbeck, University of London and a dual degree in International Business Science from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas – ICADE (Spain) and European School of Business (Germany).
