Reinier Douqué

Reinier Douqué joined British International Investment in April 2021 as Head of Special Situations.

Previously, Reinier was working as an independent consultant and, prior to that, worked at FMO – the Netherlands’ development finance institution – for almost 12 years. At FMO, he headed up their Global Special Operations and Restructuring team for close to six years, and was Head of Agribusiness, Food and Water for two years. He was also a member of their Investment Committee for nine years.

Before joining FMO he worked in his family’s 100-year-old coffee trading business J. Th. Douqué Koffie B.V & Douqué Group in a variety of roles, including supervising the supply chain management in Africa and Latin America.
